The Worst Ben & Jerry's Flavor Has One Major Flaw

Ben & Jerry's has a ton of delicious flavors to choose from — some come from the thousands of customer suggestions Ben & Jerry's receives every year. However, this can make it difficult to decide which one to buy, so to help you out, we ranked 10 popular Ben & Jerry's flavors. For this ranking, our tester considered how it tasted, what the texture was like, and how many mix-ins were included. And looking at our ranking, you'll realize that you should definitely avoid the strawberry cheesecake flavor — especially if you love mix-ins, because this pint does not deliver on that front. 

This flavor — which is described as consisting of strawberry cheesecake-flavored ice cream with strawberry pieces and a graham cracker swirl — placed last in our ranking, mostly because the mix-ins are extremely lacking. Our tester found it to taste good enough, but there were minimal strawberry pieces and just a tiny graham cracker swirl. This is a major letdown, as you're going to expect to taste the delicious crust and plenty of strawberry. Instead, Ben & Jerry's has left you with an ice cream that vaguely resembles strawberry cheesecake, but doesn't have the tasty extras to fully deliver on its promise. 

Our tester is not alone when it comes to this opinion. If you look at customer reviews for Ben & Jerry's strawberry cheesecake pints — such as on the product page on the Target website — you'll find some customers who have also noticed the lack of mix-ins. One person similarly complained that there are "No strawberries at all."

Despite our low ranking, there are actually a lot of positive reviews for Ben & Jerry's strawberry cheesecake ice cream on the Target website. The product has an average rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars because, overall, customers love the flavor. One person wrote, "I am absolutely in love with this." Another reviewer even described this ice cream as "cheesecake heaven."

Of the negative reviews, though, many of them agree with our consensus: There are not enough mix-ins. Many reviewers wanted to taste more graham cracker. In fact, there were even some positive reviews that liked the ice cream but expressed a desire for more of the crunchy topping. For example, one person wrote, "The best ice cream ever! The graham cracker is what really [makes] it the best. Y'all should add a little more to it though." Similarly, there were multiple positive reviews from customers who liked the ice cream overall but didn't think that it fit the "strawberry cheesecake" label — one customer said it "doesn't really taste like cheesecake" at all.

You're probably better off choosing a different Ben & Jerry's flavor. And when you want a strawberry cheesecake experience, you could try other ice cream brands or make some cheesecake-stuffed strawberries instead.
