Krispy Kreme's Election Day Deal Is One You Don't Want To Miss

Krispy Kreme is no stranger to giving out free donuts for a good cause. According to its website, the donut chain gave out free donuts to healthcare workers on Mondays in 2020 as a thank-you for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic. And high school and college graduates in 2020 and 2021 could claim a free dozen donuts during graduation season if they showed up wearing their cap and gown.

Now, the 2022 Midterm elections are here, with important issues on ballots in many states. In some swing states, free food trucks will be sent to areas with long lines or stricter voting laws, providing food and drinks and encouraging voters to wait and make their voices heard at the polls (via People). To encourage voters to get out and cast their votes, Krispy Kreme is offering a free original glazed donut to all customers across participating United States locations on Election Day.

Voters can claim their free treat on Nov. 8

This Election Day, Krispy Kreme is giving out free donuts, reports Thrillist. Krispy Kreme's Global Chief Brand Officer Dave Skena stated that the brand is celebrating democracy and encouraging voters to stop by for their free donut on the way to or from the polls.

On November 8, all customers can claim their free Krispy Kreme donut (no proof of voting required). This deal applies for a single original glazed donut, either in-store or at the drive-thru, with no other purchase required.

This isn't the first time Krispy Kreme has incentivized people to get to the polls with a sweet treat. Back in 2020, People reports, visitors could grab a free original glazed donut in observance of the presidential election. The chain even handed out "I Voted" stickers to visitors, as many voters couldn't claim them when voting by mail.
