Krispy Kreme Is Bringing The Halloween With Its New Collection
As each new holiday of the year approaches, fast food chains take on the challenge of incorporating the spirit of the season into their brands. With Halloween coming up fast, it's time for the creative minds at some stores to let loose yet again with some scary good limited-time products.
At times it feels like the marketing teams at coffee chains seem to know how to do spooky season best. Last year Dunkin' crafted an orange-hued Peanut Butter Cup Macchiato for the occasion. Last month in September, Starbucks announced a brand new collection of glow-in-the-dark drinkware — from star-studded forest scenes to flying ravens etched onto tumblers and mugs. On October 6 Tim Hortons even released a new trick-or-treat bucket for candy lovers (via QSR).
But no matter what the season, Krispy Kreme seems to flawlessly tackle the challenge of making themed donuts. Now deep into the beginning of October, the chain is bringing the Halloween with its new collection of Halloween doughnuts. The spooky collection of treats comes with plenty of deals, too.
Krispy Skreme introduces a new Haunted House Collection
In the spirit of the season, Krispy Kreme is once again transforming into "Krispy Skreme" for Halloween, according to Business Wire. The temporary name change for the month of October is far from the only offering of the season. Customers have a lot more to look forward to with the star of the show being the special custom dozen box.
Starting October 10, Krispy customers can indulge in a new collection of themed doughnuts with features from the Spooky Spider, Scaredy Cat, Boo Batter, and the Neon Orange Sprinkle Doughnut, per Business Wire. In addition to the Halloween-themed doughnut box, customers can also get a taste of the chain's new Freaky Frozen Chiller, which is a new drink that comes in green apple or wild grape flavors and is topped with a green apple drizzle.
Along with its new products, Krispy Skreme will also be bringing back its "Saturday Scary Sharies:" Every Saturday starting October 15, customers who purchase a dozen doughnuts can get a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for $2 to share with their friends. Finally, any person who visits a Krispy Skreme store in a Halloween costume on October 31 will receive one doughnut of choice for free, no purchase necessary. We'd say that's a scary good deal for spooky doughnut lovers.
