YSL Uses Google Glass To Bring The Beauty Counter Professionals To Consumers

It seems like since Diane von Furstenberg created a (fashionable) frame for Google Glass, the industry has been welcoming the nerdy tech device with fairly open arms. It's functionality for bloggers, designers and press during fashion week is painfully obvious, but what about your beauty routine? YSL Beauty just got creative and came up with a new program that will put their makeup pros at your disposal. It's a pretty basic idea and fairly ingenious in its simplicity. Instead of going to a makeup counter for a stunning makeover that (despite the number of products you take home with you) you can't seem to recreate,  the beauty pros will now be wearing and videotaping with Google Glass so you can have a step-by-step video, on your own skin, of all their techniques, tips and tricks. The video along with a menu of items from your consultation is then emailed to you, so you have the necessary info at your fingertips.

Currently the brand will only be offering the service at the Bloomingdale's 59th Street location in New York, and will expand based on success and demand. Personally we love the idea of a step by step process from YSL pros that work with the product daily and can offer the best tips and suggestions on how to use it on different skin types, tones and surfaces. While this weekend might be exceptionally busy due to New York Fashion Week, we suggest trying to get in for an appointment—who wouldn't want to recreate their NYFW beauty look every day?
