You Need To Eat This: NOLA Reopened
Good news NOLA fans! The New Orleans-inspired restaurant is open again.
It's been a favorite of Market Square diners (and this blogger) with its zesty Cajun food, live music and scenic patio dining, but a fire in the pizza oven closed it down for several months.
Fortunately though, Tuesday marked the reopening of the restaurant.
It still has all of the things you love, plus a few new additions to most sections of the menu.
I love their flatbreads, but when I stopped by for lunch Tuesday I decided to go the sandwich route and picked the half sandwich — wood fired turkey Cuban — with the NOLA salad.
The sandwich hit the spot with its mushy, melted cheese, coarse grain mustard and tangy pepper jam, while encompassed by crusty bread. My salad of greens, sweet potato chips and goat cheese was a fresh and balancing side to the flavorful sandwich and spicy voodoo fries.
But I also can't wait to go back and have the roasted mushroom, spinach and ricotta flatbread with a pea puree.
There's also a new craft whiskey bar and vintage champagne room, which should be fun to check out.
Most of all though, I love sitting on the patio at NOLA and am so glad it's open while there's still some nice summer weather to enjoy it.
Will you check out the newly reopened NOLA?
