Wine Tastings In Mendoza, Cape Town, And Granada: The Best Wine Trips From Jetsetter

Today marks a 10-day-long exclusive deal from Jetsetter, the members-only vacation deals hub. The editors at Jetsetter picked six wine destinations for their Wine Country Uncorked Week, which features deals for 30 percent off wine tastings, winery tours, and food and wine pairings.

We spoke to JD Rinne, the managing editor at Jetsetter, to get her personal picks from Jetsetter's Wine Country Uncorked Week. "Our hope was to get people inspired to plan their 'bucket list' vacations, or vacations that are doable," she said. "Wine countries are totally doable vacations, but have the feel of a dream vacation." Here are Rinne's picks:

Mendoza, Argentina: Sip on a malbec in the hippest wine region. The Jetsetter deal includes a two-night stay with wine tours curated by Robertson Wine Tours. "Mendoza is really having a moment," Rinne said. Because Mendoza is growing so quickly, she said, it's easier to navigate the sprawling wine region with a driver and wine guide; the package also includes a gourmet meal with wine pairings, plus three winery tours.

Cape Town, South Africa: What makes Cape Town such a wine destination, Rinne said, is the region: Constantia Valley, the oldest wine-growing region in Cape Town. The valley, which has grown grapes since the 1600s, "has had a few hundred years of practice," she said. Plus, the old soil produces some classic wines, like the sauvignon blanc. The Steenberg Hotel sits on a winery, with New World Wines on premise.

Granada, Spain: Granada is mostly known as a cultural destination, but that doesn't mean you can't sip on a wine or two while there. The Hacienda Señorío de Nevada sits on a 52-acre vineyard, and serves award-winning wines. Plus, you can take a sommelier class while there, "so you can impress all your friends when you get back," einne said.
