Whole Foods Las Vegas Charity Day

On Tuesday, June 2, five percent of net Whole Foods Market Las Vegas Blvd proceeds were donated to the St. Jude's Ranch for Children, the Las Vegas Sun reports.

The event occurred on their Community Support Day, a day used to help support those in the community and demonstrate the store's commitment to the community. Whole Foods Markets nationwide hold Community Support Days three times a year and donate five percent of that day's sales to a local nonprofit or charity.

The charity of choice, St. Jude's Ranch for Children, helps to support and change the lives of abused and at-risk children, young adults, and families by empowering them. The program has been in operation for more than 40 years and helps residents in Texas and Nevada. The program supports people of all races and faiths.

It has not been announced how much money was raised, but to stay tuned on the event or find out about other events, check the store's Facebook page
