What's Cooking On 1060: Garden Fest, Reading Terminal Update & A High-End Food Truck
By Hadas Kuznits
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The 11th annual PHS Fall Festival takes place during the day of Saturday, September 20th, from 10am to 5pm at the Navy Yard.
Drew Becher (top photo), head of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, says it'll be an educational day of family fun, including everything from "vegetable races" to "bounty baskets."
"This is the time to brag. If you had a good crop, you need to brag about it," Becher says. "We have had good crops this year because it's been a very, very, wet summer, and that has produced a lot of great city harvest items, and we will have a city harvest market there."

Meanwhile, there's a lot happening at Reading Terminal Market. Market general manager Paul Stienke says they are in the midst of rebranding their demonstration kitchen. In addition, Instacart food delivery will soon be offering home delivery from Reading Terminal Market. And the former sushi stand in center court has left, making way for a new vendor.
"We will soon be welcoming a new specialty burger place called Hunger Burger," Steinke says, "that will be run by the operator of By George Pasta and Pizza, a longtime market vendor."

Philadelphia Four Seasons restaurant chef Peter Rosenblatt takes over the truck this coming Monday through next Saturday. Locations will be announced on Twitter.
"We tried to do locally inspired street foods," Rosenblatt says, "and everything will be under $8."

"It is not Four Seasons prices," Rosenblatt says, "but it still is Four Seasons quality."
