Peddler's Village annual Scarecrow Festival takes place this Saturday, September 20th and Sunday 21st from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. in beautiful Bucks County. Come out for scarecrow making workshops, pumpkin-pie eating contests, pumpkin painting, liove musical entertainment and lots of children's activities and fun. Festival and parking are free. Scarecrow workshop is $30 per scarecrow.

Peace Day Philly 2014

Peace Day Philly will feature over 30 diverse events in venues across the region to celebrate International Day of Peace this Sunday September 21st. Kid-friendly events taking place include: Peace Day Philly Gathering at Independence Mall starting at 9:30am with a participatory drum circle and collaborative art making. Footprints for Peace at the Philadelphia Art Museum at 11am brings poets, musicians, and artists to families in a call for a celebration of peace.Brundibar and the Children of Theresienstadt is an original version of a children's opera that tells the story of children who performance opera at the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp during WWII.
4th Annual Sing Along for Peace at Rittenhouse Square at 4pm and the Chalk for Peace will give kids of all ages the chance to sing and draw to celebrate peace.
