VIDEO: Chef Reuben Riffel's Tips For Travel To Cape Town

We recently got to chat with chef Reuben Riffel, of Reuben's in Franschhoek and now in the One&Only Cape Town, about what he loves about South African cuisine and what visitors should make sure to try. Cuisine in South Africa is incredibly varied because of so many cultural influences coming together, from Dutch to Malay, but he highly recommends sampling bobotie, a mouthwatering sweet and spicy meat dish, as well as barbecued snook, a local fish.

The first outpost of his restaurant Reuben's is in his hometown of Franschhoek, located just outside of Cape Town in the winelands, which are a beautiful escape from the city center. But back in Cape Town, he recommends dining at The Test Kitchen, which is in an up and coming neighborhood so you're sure to be dining among locals. Check out the video for the rest of his great insight.
