Vegas' 8 Best Bars with a View Slideshow
August 9, 2011
Once the sun sets, the Rio's rooftop nightclub is one of the best places to take in Vegas' stunning cityscape. The view is pretty amazing from the main outdoor patio, but revelers looking to take it to the next level need simply walk up the suspended metal staircase to the 51st floor deck. Just make sure to hold on to your cocktail — and the railing.
No visit to Ghostbar (located on the 55th floor of the Palms) is complete without a trip outside to the balcony. Besides enjoying the breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of the Strip, some club-goers might have to muster the courage to stand on the platform's glass insets which show just how high above the ground they actually are. Shot of liquid courage, anyone?
Located on the 64th floor of THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, Mix Lounge is a great place on the south end of the Strip to enjoy a scenic view without a cover charge (before 10 p.m., that is). This understated bar is perfect for those looking to escape the huge crowds and deafening music of the many dance clubs on the Strip.
This new bar on the roof of the Paris hotel (which also ranks as one of The Daily Meal's 150 Best Bars in America) is right in the middle of the Strip. Although not quite as high up as most rooftop bars, it provides a unique perspective on the street action below, as well as front row seat view of the Bellagio water show across the way.
Air Bar on Level 108
High above the street level at Air Bar on Level 108, customers can sip their martinis away from the honking horns and the stumbling party crowd.
Leave it to Vegas to create a rooftop beach bar. A true oasis in the middle of the desert, this bar is equipped with not only with a terrace overlooking the city, but also at the beach level, folks can sit comfortably by the pool away from the dance floor.
LAVO is a one-stop shop for a fun in Sin City — a beer garden during the day and a nightclub at in the evening. It’s no wonder why Lavo is always packed with beautiful people looking for a good time.
Head to the 23rd floor of the Mandarin Oriental to find a swank lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a panoramic view of the city. And for those who like jazz, enjoy live music as you sip one of their signature cocktails like the Golden Leaf or Lychee Smash.
