Trio Of Thai Hotels Fete Fruit
To celebrate National Papaya Month this September, a trio of resorts in Thailand is preparing spa treatments and cocktail recipes that feature the juicy fruit, which has been a staple on Thai restaurant menus for decades.
Located on Lamai Beach, Le Méridien Koh Samui Resort & Spa's Le SPA is offering a special 60-minute sea salt papaya scrub featuring papain, a key ingredient in papaya that promotes skin renewal and cell turnover. Papaya facial scrubs and face masks are also available to add on to the fruity treatment.
In the Thai capital, hip sippers can mix and mingle over a game of pool, snacks, and Papaya Ice Bombs at Aloft Bangkok – Sukhumvit 11's w xyz bar, where the Papaya Ice Bomb will be served. A mix of vodka, papaya, lemon, orange, brown sugar, Angostura bitters, and thyme leaves, the Papaya Ice Bomb will be served in September.
The mixologists at The St. Regis Bar and The Drawing Room at The St. Regis Bangkok are feting the tropical fruit with the Spiced Papaya Refresher, a refreshing cocktail of vodka, papaya juice, orange juice, ginger syrup, and ginger ale served in a rock glass or high ball and garnished with a lime slice.
