The Tides Inn (Irvington, Va.)

The Tides Inn is ending 2012 with a bang with a New Year’s Eve party-and-casino New Year’s Eve Celebration package. This includes accommodations and festivities beginning at 7:30 p.m. with a wine and cheese reception, followed by dinner for two in the East Dining Room or Ashburn Room with a special New Year’s menu, including Carters Creek she crab soup, Rappahannock River oysters, and house special Chesapeake Bay crab cakes. Casino night activities run from 9 p.m. to midnight, with a champagne toast at midnight.

Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.)

Before counting down the New Year at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa’s V. Kelly’s restaurant, guests can begin their celebrations with dinner there or at one of the resort’s other restaurants — Café on the Green, The Augustine Grill, or 619 Ocean View, each featuring a New Year’s menu. The menu at 619 Ocean View includes pork, seafood, and rice and black-eyed peas. The Augustine Grill is offering a $79 four-course meal which includes a trio of Kumamoto oysters, pan-seared foie gras with slow-braised beef short ribs, salad and a choice of beef tenderloin, pan-seared sea bass, or grilled lamb, finishing with a "triple chocolate explosion." For a more casual dining experience, Café on the Green has a special New Year’s Eve buffet that includes Cajun corn chowder, shrimp and mango salad, and roasted mahi mahi ($29 for adults and $15 for children from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.).

The Grove Park Inn (Asheville, N.C.)

This New Year’s Eve, The Grove Park Inn offers a choice of two parties. Guests can choose to dance to big band melodies by the Doug Burns Band at the Toast to 100 Classic or to modern music at the Centennial Blast Off Party. Both packages include admission to one party, accommodations, and New Year’s Eve dinner at one of the hotel’s restaurants, including Horizons, Sunset Terrace, and Blue Ridge Dining.

Hotel Madeline Telluride and the Inn at Lost Creek (Telluride, Colo.)

Hotel Madeline Telluride and the Inn at Lost Creek are boutique addresses with ski-in/ski-out locations in Telluride, Colo. Those who plan a New Year’s Eve escape here can indulge in views of snow-clad peaks and glide down 2,000 skiable acres of fresh snow. On New Year’s Eve, enjoy fireworks and the annual Torchlight Parade down Misty Maiden run to the base of Lift 4 in Mountain Village. Begin the evening’s festivities at the Hotel Madeline’s Rev restaurant, which is serving a $120.13 five-course menu, including elk loin carpaccio with black truffles and foie gras and vanilla crème brulée. Guests can also ring in the New Year at the adjacent SMAK bar with champagne-infused cocktails and live music.

The Homestead (Hot Springs, Va.)

The Homestead is offering two New Year's Eve bashes: an up-tempo New Year’s Eve Gala in the Grand Ballroom and a more refined evening of dinner and dancing in the Dining Room. Guests who attend the dinner-dance receive a welcome glass of champagne. Party favors are included and each party is punctuated by a balloon drop at midnight.

Hyatt Regency Atlanta (Atlanta)

See 2012 out with a bang at Hyatt Regency Atlanta’s Downtown Countdown. Instead of worrying about getting home after the festivities, party goers can catch ride on the elevator and stay at the hotel. The Dolder Grand (Zurich)

The Nines celebrates New Year’s Eve Gangnam-style at its rooftop restaurant Departure, which features modern Asian cuisine and breathtaking city views. Hôtel Plaza Athénée (Paris)

Hôtel Plaza Athénée is celebrating the holidays on ice: Guests can dine on the hotel’s seasonal skating rink in the hotel’s courtyard, surrounded by festive decorations. Chefs Christophe Michalak and Philippe Marc and pastry chef Jean-Marie Hiblot are preparing a special $656 dinner with wine pairings. Coworth Park, in Ascot, outside London, begins New Year's Eve celebrations with a champagne afternoon tea in the drawing room. In the evening, guests are invited to the hotel’s black tie dinner and dance in the Mansion House, including celebratory nightcap toasts and snacks until 2 a.m. Guests who book for the New Year also receive breakfast on Jan. 1 and 2, a cooking master class with the chef, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the hotel. Located at the edge of Waikiki, The Modern Honolulu is celebrating New Year's Eve with a full-blown party, presented by Grey Goose, called The Modern Experience. The over-the-top party features six areas to ring in the New Year: The Modern Honolulu Ballroom, The Study, ADDICTION Nightclub, the pool decks, the lounge, and the VIP Sun Suite.
