Savory or sweet, Denver has waffles for days at these great restaurants. Enjoy breakfast in a new light with one taste of these waffle delights.
Bruxie

Bruxie blew into Denver this spring and proved that waffles are great as a sandwich. With these light, slightly sweet and super airy bread substitutes, favorites include savory like prosciutto and gruyere, hot pastrami or fried chicken. Sweet sensations include the ever-popular lemon cream and berries or s'mores with Belgian chocolate, graham crackers and toasted marshmallow. But the "Belgium Originals," including a Liege waffle with caramelized pear sugar or a chocolate-filled waffle with dark Belgian chocolate, are true standouts.

Matt Selby, the widely applauded and loved executive chef, joined Central several months ago and Central continues to grow as a destination for all things delicious. The Nutella Waffle is so popular it has a permanent spot on all menus in the dessert section. Served with banana butterscotch, candied pretzels and pretzel ice cream, the crispy, sweet waffle is also a standout as a brunch item paired with the restaurant's "morning restoratives" served with or without alcohol.
Dorchester Social Eatery
1448 Market St.
Denver, CO 80202

The Dorchester Social Eatery's impressive 4,000-square-foot rooftop lounge with unobstructed views of the Rocky Mountains and Denver's downtown skyline is the newest destination for an incredible al fresco brunch. Executive Chef Michel Wahaltere's Brussels Waffles are a nod to his favorite breakfast growing up in Belgium. Four mini-waffles are made with Thomas Keller gluten-free flour and topped with farm-fresh strawberries, house-made whipped cream and drizzled with Nutella. The popular brunch is served both Saturday and Sunday.

Session Kitchen has become a go-to on South Pearl Street for delicious cuisine. Its mantra "sessions are for sharing" brings groups to devour its brunch, served daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Strawberry Banana Waffles have become the star made with gluten-free almond flour topped with fresh strawberries, strawberry-rhubarb jam and bananas. But what makes these waffles completely mouthwatering is the waffle "fluffernutter" topping. Want to add house-made peanut butter? That's a Session specialty.
Steuben's
523 E. 17th Ave.
Denver, CO 80203
(303) 830-1001

Steuben's ushered in the hipster movement in 2006 and it's been turning out great "American Regional Classics" since, keeping the masses happy. The restaurant has something for everyone – happy hour, date night, girls' and guys' night out – and Sunday's nightly special of chicken and waffles. The buttermilk batter and the perfect fry of the chicken is the perfect complement to oversized, sweet waffles drizzled with pure maple syrup. There is no question why Sunday's special is one of the favorite nights of the week.
