"Oklahoma" was first performed in 1943, on Broadway, and is the first of many brilliant collaborations of the famed Rogers and Hammerstein. It ran for an unprecedented 2,212 shows and has been a smash hit favorite of theater goers ever since. The budding romances of Curly and Laurey and/or Will and Ado Annie in the quaint Oklahoma farm setting have been the stuff audiences have enjoyed over the decades, and they can continue that tradition at Lindenwood's J.Schiedegger Center for the Arts this fall. Make sure you get your seats for at least one of three performances starting on October 30 to November 1, 2014. Ticket prices range from $10 to $18 and are available online or at the box office. The Blue Grass and Gospel music of "Smoke on the Mountain" portrays the individual tales of the Sanders family's lives and their return to performing after a long hiatus.
