Based on the 1988 film by Pedro Almodovar, "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" is the musical adaptation of his hilarious flick. It tells the story of Pepa and her many friends, as they find men, lose men and discover they don't need men. The catchy Latin music is infused with life as the cast dances to the rhythms of 1980s Madrid. The score is by the same team behind the hit musical "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." This is a regional premier, so this is the first time anyone in Denver has had the chance to catch this wonderful musical.

This is the perfect combination of big musical, holiday cheer and brilliant music. "She Loves Me" is the silly musical about two feuding clerks who both work in a European parfumerie during the 1930s. The two workers find comfort with their respective romantic pen pals, without realizing that they are actually writing to each other. The music and lyrics are from the same team that brought the world the hit "Fiddler on the Roof" and will be directed by Arvada Center's own Gavin Mayer. This is one holiday musical that keeps the feel and sentiment of the holidays, without shoving too much tinsel or mistletoe in your face. Catch this one while you can.
