South Beach's Flamingo Park is home to the Flamingo Pool – a spacious eight-lane public lap pool. It's centrally located in the area and just a few blocks' walk from the beach as well as popular shopping and dining areas. Swim classes are offered by certified trainers for participants of all ages. Admission to the pool is complimentary with proof of residency and for children three years of age and younger. Non-residents from three to 17 years of age have a $6 admission and non-resident adults pay $10.

Open from Tuesday to Sunday, this public pool also features a sizable water playground for children to enjoy for hours. Swimming lessons are available ranging from the preschool water fun classes to advanced-level courses

This complex features lap pool swimming as well as diving facilities with daily public swimming hours for the lap pool and weekend hours for the diving facilities (daily hours during the summer break for Broward County schools). Swimming lessons are available as well as water aerobics and the weekend Sunday Shark Club for parents and their children from six months of age to six years. Admission fees are low for both residents and non-residents and discounts apply with the purchase of weekly or monthly passes. No children under the age of 12 are allowed to use the facilities without a parent or adult guardian.

Adult lap swimmers may enjoy special allotted times for swimming a few days a week with morning, afternoon and evening hour options. Swimming lessons are available and the pool may be rented out for groups and for special events. Adults pay $2 to use the facilities and children and senior citizens pay even less.

The Tamiami Aquatic Center features a spacious heated pool ranging from three to 11 feet in depth. It's equipped with the usual aquatic center fare such as showers, locker rooms and an active duty lifeguard and is conveniently located near FIU's Kendall campus. This center has a long list of activity options available including a swim club, aquatic club, synchronized swimming and lifeguard classes. Admission for adults is less than $3 per person.
