For 28 amazing years, City Park Jazz has performed free summer concerts in the beauty of City Park. There is a huge variety of styles, genres and music that is all designed to showcase the music and cultural diversity of Denver. Coming up, you can catch The Dexter Payne Quintet for a classical, improvised jazz sound with influences of Brazilian samba and funky dance tunes. Or check out Dan Treanor's Afrosippi Band Featuring Erica Brown and Merrian Johnson followed by Chris Daniels and the Kinds with Freddi Gowdy. The Clyfford Still Museum teamed up with Swallow Hill Music for this free summer concert series, showcasing that this beautiful museum offers more than amazing art. The series wraps with this free show on the Forecourt at the museum by Fierce Bad Rabbit. They are an indie folk-rock quartet with a great, gritty rock sound. This local band is fresh off their latest release, "Maestro and the Elephant," with a fun, pop-infused sound that the whole family will enjoy. The four musicians in this band are truly amazing artists, and you'll definitely want to catch them in action. Bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy the warm summer evening breeze on the lawn at this beautiful facility for a fantastic free concert.

You'll find another amazing treat the City Park Pavilion.  The Inside the Orchestra program is the perfect way to introduce the kids to the magic and wonder of a 14-piece orchestra. You'll be seated on the floor of the pavilion as the orchestra surrounds you, bringing music that will be familiar to you and your kids. You'll also get a chance to learn more about what the conductor really does, and your kids can get some amazing exposure to this genre. The fantastic Plaza at Belmar is already a great way to spend the day with the family with lots of great shopping, restaurants, movies and more. However, every Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, the Plaza transforms into a live music venue as all of the great restaurants offer patio seating or you can just bring a blanket and sit on the grass. Each day brings a new band with some incredible talent. Upcoming artists include Andy Hackbarth, The Dave Camp Jazz Trio, The Modnicks, Train 45 with Charlie, The Flatiorn Jazz Quartet and Forever Fab, in addition to many more. With so many different bands to check out, you may just want to make this a regular weekend destination over the next few weeks.

Northglenn has its own fantastic Summer Concert Series, and it's celebrating 25 years of live music in the park this year. Grab your blankets and picnics and head out for this free concert by the incredible band Dotsero. The group is an electronic-influenced, mainstream jazz and pop sextet that is certainly appropriate for the whole family. These concerts are held at the EB Rains Jr Memorial Park and beer and wine will be available for purchase, plus all proceeds will benefit the Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation.
