The Top February Wine Events
The new year is off to a good start and we are gearing up for our annual Around the World in 80 Sips kick-off in San Francisco for the fifth time!
But there are plenty of other great wine tastings across the country, so if you can't make ours, be sure to head to one in a city near you. We're spreading the wine love... it's the right month for it, after all.
8th Annual Open House at Charles Krug Winery, St. Helena, Calif., Feb. 1-2
The Peter Mondavi Sr. Family invites you to join them at Napa Valley's First Winery! The two-day wine tasting includes their newly released 2012 sauvignon blanc as well as other stellar wines. Peter Mondavi Jr. will be on hand Friday to sign purchased bottles — a perfect time to ask for a personalized message for Valentine's Day or other special occasion. 14th Annual International Food and Wine Festival, Washington, D.C., Feb. 5-8
After 12 years of success, the 2013 festival will be extended over several days and will include seminars, tastings, food pairings, dinners, and a signature event each evening. Guests will meet and greet winemakers, chefs, and tastemakers, and sample sensational food and wine. More information is available here.
Around the World in 80 Sips, San Francisco, Feb. 8
Head to the historic Golden Gate Club in the Presidio and discover great wines from around the world at our signature tasting event complete with 80-plus wines to taste, craft beers, and light appetizers. Each wine lover will receive a Bottega del Vino glass, hand-blown and shaped for the ultimate drinking experience. More information is available here.
Yoga on the Wine Trail by Bluemont Vineyard, Bluemont, Va., Feb. 9

8th Annual International Alsace Varietals Festival, Anderson Valley, Calif., Feb. 9-10
If you share our passion for cool-climate, aromatic whites, join winemakers from around the world for a weekend-long celebration of Alsatian-style wines and food pairings.
