Todd English P.U.B.: Classic American Tastes With Gourmet Flair
P.U.B., which stands for Public Urban Bar, at the City Center in Las Vegas, has been open for four years and continues to grow in popularity with its various engaging features. Proprietor and four-time James Beard Award-winning chef Todd English set out to create a space that is fun and interactive; a place to relax and unwind after a whirlwind tour of the strip, or a late night show. With seating for 320 guests, this is a venue for everyone. From large party dining to an intimate bite for two, the aim is to accommodate all who walk through the doors.
Helpful bar servers can introduce you to a flight of brews as they educate you on the many selections available, as they are enrolled in Cicerone classes to further their beer and beverage education. Alongside the plethora of beers, there are cocktails and an outstanding whiskey and bourbon menu available. If you're tired of paying the piper for a cocktail on the strip, you can now indulge in one of the best Happy Hours in in town. Stop by for the half-price pints, wine by the glass, $1 wings, $2 oysters, and $3 sliders.
For those who love their meat, The Carvery offers a selection of rotisserie-cooked meats and poultry so that guests can carve up their creativity into a sandwich made for a king. One of the best burgers that we tried on our visit was the 10-ounce buffalo burger cooked medium rare. Sinfully juicy, the tang of blue cheese and a little heat from Todd's own hot sauce on your taste buds will have you writing home about this food memory.
Don't forget the lobster rolls: lobster slathered in warm butter on top of soft pillow-like roll that every beer drinker should order to bring down the buzz as it comes close to quitting time.
Todd English's P.U.B is a must-stop on your journey to the Vegas Wonderland. You will find a bit of comfort to cheer you after too many dollars have been dropped at the tables. From gamblers to family vacationers, this is the one place everyone should check into.
