T.G.I. Fridays Getting Fancy With Small Plates

Remember when Korean tacos jumped the shark and ended up on a T.G.I. Fridays menu? Well, it looks like Thai food, ahi tuna, and all sorts of American-esque small plates are headed that way, too.

T.G.I. Fridays has launched a new Taste & Share menu, a press release says, with "seven perfectly sized, lower-priced selections that are great for splitting with friends and trying a bit of everything." Plus, they'll be adding "innovative scratch-made cocktails" and regional craft beers (following the success of Chipotle, we're sure).

On the new menu: Thai pork tacos, ahi tuna crisps, bacon mac and cheese bites, classic bruschetta, Parmesan meatballs , corned beef and Swiss sliders, and Hibachi skewers. And the "hand-crafted" cocktails? A strawberry basil margarita with Patrón silver tequila, a Barbados rum punch, and a Hendricks gin cooler with "fresh muddled cucumber...  sour apple pucker, our fresh homemade sour, and lemon-lime soda." Looks like they're really trying to win over the happy hour crowd.
