Tasty Treats Pull Into Times Square
Taste of Times Square is back this Monday with more than 40 New York restaurants offering tastes and drinks in the "Crossroads of the World." The food fest runs along 46th Street between Broadway and Ninth Avenue and includes Restaurant Row.
Diners buy $1 tickets that are redeemable for petit plates and drinks that range from $2 to $6. The global feast includes Italian, Chilean, Irish, Latin, Asian, and American cuisines from restaurants including Barbetta, Carmine's, Toloache, and Le Rivage.
Tastes include yellowfin tuna, pickled enoki mushrooms, miso aioli, and ginger soy glaze from Nios, Bourbon Street bread pudding from B. Smith's, paella from Meson Sevilla, and salmon caviar blini from Firebird Restaurant.
Advance tickets are on sale at the Times Square Museum and Visitor Center and can also be bought the day of the Taste of Times Square.
The festival also includes live jazz, swing dance lessons, and an interactive African drumming circle.
The Times Square Alliance is also sponsoring the Taste of Times Square Instagram Photo Contest to give diners the chance to win $150 to return to Times Square and dine at a Taste of Times Square restaurant of the winner's choice. To enter, diners take a photo of their favorite dishes, signage, or storefront, describe it, and tag it with the hashtag #TasteTSq.
