TABC Investigates Deep Ellum Brewing, Scotch And Sausage
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A Facebook fight has led to a TABC investigation.
The Deep Ellum Brewing Co. (DEBC) claims the new restaurant, "Scotch And Sausage" approached them about paying to have their beer featured in their restaurant.
The alleged pay-to-play incident is illegal.
Owner of the newly-opened restaurant, Rami Rassas, told CBS 11 News that DEBC made the whole story up before taking to Facebook to express their anger.
DEBC posted that Scotch And Sausage was unethical. The restaurant fired back, claiming the brewer's beer isn't "good enough" to carry.
DEBC owner John Reardon responded saying, "So you think our beer sucks? That's a fine excuse. You think my salesman was bad? No hard feelings again. But then why offer us a tap in exchange for $120 per week or half price kegs?"
