Suzanne Goin And Caroline Styne To Open New Restaurant In Montecito
Famed restaurateurs Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne owners of the Lucques, A.O.C., and two other restaurants in Los Angeles now have their sights set on Montecito, Calif. The business partners have successfully established themselves in the Los Angeles restaurant scene with ventures that have been recognized by The New York Times, Saveur, Zagat, and many other media groups, but now they plan to expand their vision.
Their new, yet-to-be named restaurant will be located in the Montecito Country Market and plans to open in the spring of 2013 – Goin and Styne hope to build a relationship with the residents of Montecito through food.
They are currently creating a menu driven by seasonal, locally-grown foods to highlight the farmhouse atmosphere of the restaurant, which will be designed by Jeffery Alan Marks, the designer of the partners' previous restaurants.
The new venture will use a wood-burning oven and grill as the primary sources for roasting fish, meats, stews, burgers, and pizzettes. Chef Javier Espinoza and Julie Grimm, both veterans of Lucques and A.O.C., will fill the roles of chef de cuisine and general manager, respectively.
We look forward to see what is in store for the partners' new ventures.
