Spoon University Intern

Staff Writer
Spoon University Intern

Spoon University is looking for one awesome intern to be our right-hand-[wo]man. Spoon is growing and changing each day, and we’re looking for someone who is energized by experimenting, creating and innovating. We want someone that is extremely detail-oriented, on top of their sh*t and a true go-getter. You’ll get experience working in a fast-paced start up environment with great company (us) and the perks of eating lots of good food. :) Our internships are unpaid, but academic credit is available.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an intern who can pretty much handle everything. Interns will work closely with the founders to plan and execute social media campaigns to boost Spoon’s digital presence, engage users on multiple platforms, build relationships with brands, create and send the weekly newsletter, create and edit content, optimize student outreach and onboarding, and more. The internship is a great opportunity to get involved in an early media start-up and make a quantifiable impact on the business. Applicants should be efficient, organized, communicative and part of an active social media network.

Spring 2014 (March 12-May 12)
Part time and full time internships available
Days and times are flexible

Applications are due March 2.

Application Process:

Send the following to intern@spoonuniversity.com:

  • Cover letter

  • Two nonacademic writing samples
  • Describe two ways you would reach out to a school to start a new chapter.
  • List which social media platforms you use and how many followers you have on each one.
  • Name three national brands that Spoon should develop content or business partnerships with and why.
