Signal Restaurant’s annual Vintage Wine & Dine Series, which will take on a new format this year, is hosting monthly events until November at Cape Grace on Cape Town’s waterfront.
For one night each month, Signal Restaurant’s executive chef Malika van Reenen's will present a six-course tasting menu that is paired with a different wine estate’s wine. This year, the focus is on exclusive, mature vintages from estates and farms across the Cape to accentuate every dish.
Each meal begins with a welcome reception with meal drinks and canapés. During the dinner, patrons can ask questions and offer their tasting notes to both chef van Reenen and the guest winemaker, who will also share their anecdotes and opinions with 40 like-minded guests.
The participating wineries are Groot Constantia on June 28, Hamilton Russell on July 26, Waterford on Aug. 30, Bosmans on Sept. 20, Iona on Oct. 25, and Rustenberg on Nov. 29. Each dinner is 650 rands (US $78) per person.
