Snackshot Of The Day: Vegan Apple Sage Sausage, Rosamunde Sausage Grill

The Daily Meal's editors, contributors, and readers dig into some pretty great restaurants, festivals, and meals. There's not always enough time to give a full review of a restaurant or describe in depth why a place, its food, and the people who prepare it are noteworthy, so Snackshot of the Day does what photographs do best, rely on the image to do most of the talking. Today's Snackshot is of the Vegan Apple Sage Sausage with onions from Rosamunde Sausage Grill.

Having been a vegetarian for just about nine years, it's rare that I crave meat, but sometimes the idea plants itself in my head. There's something about a link of meat, or "meat," cradled in a warm bun that's hard to resist. That's where the vegan sausage from Rosamunde comes in. This shot was taken in San Francisco, but they have sinced opened a Brooklyn, N.Y., location which is great news for me, as I live there.
