Shake Shack Comes To Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) – Shake Shack, a popular fast food joint enjoyed by many, including the likes of President Obama, is coming to Chicago.

Opening Tuesday, November 4th, Chicago's first Shake Shack will be in the River North neighborhood on the corner of Ohio St. and Rush St.

For those who don't know, Shake Shack is exactly what it sounds like — burgers, hot dogs, crinkle cut fries and shakes. Shake Shack has set themselves apart by offering craft beer and wine. They're not complete strangers to Chicago, all of their hot dogs are from Chicago's own Vienna Beef (no poppy seed buns, but they do in fact frown upon ketchup on their dogs).

"Thirteen years ago, we created a humble hot dog cart in New York City, selling Chicago-style hot dogs to support the renovation of Madison Square Park. Three years later, that little hot dog cart birthed an accident we called Shake Shack. It's only fitting that we finally made it to Chicago! We're thrilled to finally be joining this incredible community," said CEO Randy Garutti in a Shake Shack press release.
