Seabourn Cruise Line Adds Fourth All-Suite Luxury Small Ship To Fleet
Come mid-2016, Seabourn luxury cruise line will have a fourth all-suite vessel to add to their impressive lineup of ships which have garnered a number of accolades including the top spot for Travel + Leisure's World's Best Small-Ship Cruise Line in 2013.
Being built in the same class as the Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Quest's, the new 40,350 GRT will have all the same features as its sister ships but will also offer one additional deck and new expanded public areas. Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri S.p.A. will be heading the project which will focus on spacious public areas and rooms by maintaining the brand's high ratio of space per guests. Fincantieri and Carnival Corporation & plc, Seabourn's parent company, have been partnering together for over two decades.

Holding 604 guests based on double occupancy in the suites, the rooms all offer a private veranda and the ship will have a 1:1 ratio of staff member to guest. "The new ship will continue the evolution that began with Seabourn's fleet expansion, adding modern design elements and innovations consistent with Seabourn's reputation for understated elegance," said Richard D. Meadows, Seabourn's President. "With its delivery, the most highly-rated cruise line in the world will also offer travelers the newest fleet of ships in the luxury segment."
With the introduction of the new vessel, the brand is also saying goodbye to three of its ships: Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit, and Seabourn as they get transferred to new owners in April 2014, April 2015, and May 2015, respectively. Currently, the small-ship, ultra-luxury cruise line has six ships that offer 104 or 229 suites. Each take guests on unique itineraries through destinations around the world, navigating through spaces that larger ships cannot access.
