Scenic Cruises Offers Only Chance To Take A Luxury River Cruise Down The Seine
In April we told you about the launch of Scenic Cruises' Scenic Jewel into their lineup of eight new 'Space-Ships,' and now Scenic Gem is getting ready to make her debut. From July to October 2014, the luxury liner will begin its 11-day itinerary focusing on the history, culture and natural beauty of Northern France. Scenic Gem is the only river cruiser that can sail the entire length of the Seine before gliding under Pont de Brotonne and docking in Honfleur, making it a one-of-a-kind experience.
Unlike some other luxury cruise companies, Scenic Cruises' all-inclusive experience truly is that, covering any and all shore excursions. Guests can choose to attend events within the 'Scenic Enrich' program like an exclusive classical performance at the 16th century Château-de-Champlâtreux; pick from the list of 24 'Scenic FreeChoice' events featuring a cooking class at a French baking and patisserie institute and a visit to the D-Day beaches in Normandy; or go on self-guided 'Scenic Tailormade' bicycle tours with pre-programmed GPS systems packed with themed adventures.
All-inclusive also refers to the amenities on the Scenic Gem including all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, all meals, Wi-Fi, butler service, entertainment, and all gratuities on and off the ship. Passengers won't have to spend a dime more than the price of the trip unless they wish to have salon or spa services or buy souvenirs to take home. The Gems of the Seine river cruise itinerary runs July through October 2014 and costs between $5,420 and $10,045 per person, double occupancy. Scenic Cruises offers incentives to book 90 days in advance like free flights or savings up to $1,300.
