Scenes From 'Gotham': Chicago Transforms For 'Batman V. Superman'
By John Dodge
CHICAGO (CBS) — One could forgive seasoned CTA riders for doing some double takes.
The Red Line at Lawrence had turned into the Green Line and was taking commuters to "Gotham River"
In a city of neighborhoods, nobody has heard of "The Bowery" here. In New York, yes, not here.
All of this is part of the set for the film "Batman v. Superman"–which was shooting scenes in the Uptown neighborhood this week.
The Aragon was all lit up for a scene in which a couple leaves the theater with a child. The speculation: This is a scene with young Bruce Wayne and his parents.
CBS 2′s Ed Curran was outside the Aragon, checking out the vintage vehicles from "Gotham Taxi."
Movie critic and columnist Richard Roeper was doing some advance work the other day.
The Daily Planet's offices were in an office building near Wacker Drive and Michigan Avenue.
"Batman v. Superman: The Dawn Of Justice" stars Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman) and Amy Adams (Lois Lane). It is expected to be released in 2016.
