Saroléa Unveils Steampunk-Inspired SP7 Electric Superbike & New Bridgestone Technical Partnership
Over the week, Belgian motorcycle brand Saroléa unveiled their new SP7 electric superbike at the Mattet circuit in Belgium during the Speed Trophy. What's neat about this bike is that instead of trying to compete with other manufacturers that push a more futuristic look on their motorcycles, Saroléa's steampunk-like design hearkens to the past.
The company hasn't released much official info on the bike's specs, but we do know that the carbon-fiber electric café-racer shifts from zero to 100km/h (around 62.1mph) in only 2.8 seconds and can reach 250km/h (155.4mph) at full throttle.

The new design comes with news of Saroléa's partnership with Bridgestone, fitting the SP7 with Battlax V02 racing slicks, "constructed with its latest 'GP belt' technology." The tire brand will offer Saroléa tech support and tire expertise for all of their track testing and racing plans for the year – including the TT Zero Challenge at the Isle of Man TT series and the FIM eRoadRacing world cup series.
"This Bridgestone partnership is an exciting opportunity to combine our MotoGPTM experience with our vision of sustainable mobility. The Saroléa superbike is blazing a trail for electric motorcycles and e-racing," says José Enrique Gonzales, Director Marketing, Bridgestone Europe.
