Sam Smith Owns New York City With Apollo, Letterman Performances: Watch

Sam Smith has taken New York City by storm during the U.S. release week of his debut album, In the Lonely Hour.

The blue-eyed soul singer played a sold-out show at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem on Tuesday (June 17) that wowed audiences. The show was filmed for Vevo and select songs are available to view now in the playlist below.

They include his version of the track "Latch," a hit done with the production duo Disclosure, as re-interpreted for Smith's Nirvana EP; "Lay Me Down," and "Stay with Me" featuring a special guest appearance by Mary J. Blige.    

Smith also appeared on Late Night with David Letterman on Wednesday (June 18) and wowed the retiring show host so fully that he was almost at a loss for words. Watch his stellar performance of "Stay with Me" below.
