Royal Baby Alert: Prince William And Kate Middleton Are Expecting
We — and the rest of the world — have been waiting for this since their wedding on April 24, 2011: Kate Middleton is with child. The news broke this morning in an official announcement:
"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby," read the statement from the palace. "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news."
While everyone else will begin to go on serious bump watch, speculate about what they plan to name the baby, and wonder about the blow-out baby shower that's sure to come from pro-partier sister Pippa Middleton, we can't help but think — what does Kate Middleton need now that she's expecting?
For starters, in keeping with classic British tradition, she needs tea — and one suited for pregnancy like Yogi Tea Mother-to-Be.
As a royal baby, there's no doubt that this child will be proud of its home country of England, so the baby will definitely be in need of a British flag bib for messy mealtimes. Also if we're talking food-themed gifts, let us bring up our obsession with these fortune cookie booties from Uncommon Goods.
And of course the Duchess will need anything and everything, from highchairs to baby carriers, from Britain's number one baby brand, Mamas & Papas.
We're sure these things — along with this amazing onesie below — will be in the queue for the Duchess and her Prince, but for now, who's up for the name game?
We've got $20 on Charles for a boy and Elizabeth for a girl.
