The Rusty Bucket Tavern And Restaurant Opens Its 25th Location In Westminster, Colorado

The Rusty Bucket, known for casual, chef-driven American cuisine, has just completed renovations on its latest restaurant and opened its doors in the busy Orchard Town Center in Westminster, Colorado. This popular chain is all about fast and friendly service and made-from-scratch meals.

The 2,500 square foot space has been converted into an open and comfortable seating area with a modern ambiance and signature color palette of exposed brick, brown, and burgundy. While there are large flat-screen TVs to catch up on the latest sporting events, these are not intrusive for families wishing to have a fun night out or a couple desiring more privacy in one of the smaller rooms.

Based in Ohio, the Rusty Bucket was founded by Gary Callicoat and his friend Cameron Mitchell, who also operate other specialty restaurants in Denver. As Callicoat puts it, this latest location is all about "genuine hospitality." He explains, "We look forward to meeting our new guests, serving them great food and drinks, and being part of the community."

Wait times can be a tad long, especially on weekends, but there is call ahead seating, and reservations of eight or more are accepted. Fortunately, you can take advantage of the wait by relaxing with a craft or specialty cocktail in the full bar. Enjoy a draft beer or house-made drink such as pineapple-infused vodka or single barrel Woodford Reserve small-batch bourbon.

The Rusty Bucket is known for making everything from scratch, somewhat unusual for a large chain. The extensive menu includes starters, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and pizzas like the Margherita with its thin crust and garlic, fresh mozzarella, sweet-tasting roasted tomatoes, and basil topping.

Signature items are clearly identified and include the Bucket O' Shrimp, a generous portion of chilled peel and eat shrimp covered in Old Bay seasoning with a side of cocktail sauce ($11.49). Another signature dish is the blackened mahi-mahi tacos prepared with a fresh citrus cabbage slaw and cilantro and served with Cuban-style rice and beans ($13.99).

If you have a sweet tooth, you will want to save room for the wildly popular sticky bun bread pudding with baked custard and cinnamon bread topped off with caramel, candied pecans, and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream ($5.79). Don't be surprised if this one brings envious stares from other guests wondering just what it is you ordered.

The Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern is all about having an easy placed to unwind and share some good food with friends and family in a neighborhood community. Drop by for a bite and join the party.

The restaurant is located at 14643 Orchard Parkway in Westminster. Hours are Sundays: 11:30 a.m-9:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday: 11:00 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to midnight.
