Courvoisier purists may faint if they see you pouring a bottle of VSOP into a punch bowl. But after one taste of this spiked cherry cocktail, they may just change their minds.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounce courvoisier vsop cognac
- 1/2 ounce cherry heering liqueur
- 6 black cherries
- 1 dash of gomme
- 1 cup soda water
- mint for garnish
Directions
- Muddle cherries in a mixing glass and add to a pitcher. Add all other ingredients. Mix well with and top with soda water. Set out a bowl of ice so that guests can serve themselves on the rocks. Garnish glasses with a single cherry and a sprig of mint.
