This sweet and moist treat is easy and fast to make. No special ingredients needed, just lots of cinnamon.
Ingredients
For the donut
- 2 1/4 Cups flour
- 1 1/4 Cup sugar
- 2 Teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 Teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 Teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 3 Tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 1/4 Cup milk
- 2 1/2 Teaspoons vanilla extract
For the glaze
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 3/4 Cups white sugar
- 1/4 Cup brown sugar
- 2 Teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
For the donut
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Sift together the flour, sugar, spices, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the egg, butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients just until combined. Place into donut molds and bake for 15 minutes or until they spring back slightly when touched. Cool slightly before glazing.
For the glaze
Mix ingredients together in a bowl. Drizzle over the donuts.
