Ginger, cinnamon, and orange slices come together to make a tangy version of mulled cider in this recipe. Be sure to have a cheesecloth for the cinnamon sticks, cloves, and allspice before you prepare this drink.

Ingredients
- 3 1/2 Cups apple cider
- 1 piece of ginger
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 Teaspoons whole cloves
- 2 Teaspoons allspice
- 1 Teaspoon black peppercorns
- 1/2 Cup light brown sugar
- 1 sliced orange
Directions
Pour the apple cider into a slow cooker. Tie the ginger, cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice and black peppercorns into a cheesecloth to make a sachet. Add the sachet, brown sugar and orange slices to the slow cooker. Set the slow cooker on high for an hour then reduce to low and continue cooking for another 4 hours. Serve in mugs.
