Chi-Dog Juice Recipe
Headed to the home of the Iron Chef, we transform the Chi-town Style Hotdog into a spicy but sweet Bloody Mary. Sweet Pickle Relish replaces the acidity of lemon juice, while the heat comes from using grilled or charred tomatoes.

Ingredients
- 1 ounce koval rye vodka from chicago
- 3 ounce chi-town bloody mary mix
- cocktail onion
- dill pickle
- pickled short pepper
Directions
- Method: Build ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice and pour over fresh ice into a highball glass. Garnish with a skewered cocktail onion, dill pickle, and pickled short pepper.
- Chi-town Bloody Mary Mix: Blend together 3oz Charred Tomato Puree, 1 tablespoon Sweet Pickle Relish, 1 tablespoon Yellow Mustard and 1 Pinch Celery Salt
- Charred Tomato Puree: Brush 1lb. halved tomatoes with olive oil and grill on each side for about 90 seconds. Puree charred tomatoes, 1.5 cups tomato juice, 1/4 teaspoon cumin, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder and season with salt and pepper to taste.
