Danny Meyer Serves New Menu At Public Fare
Despite the rain, summer has pretty much arrived in New York City, which means that Shakespeare in the Park is revving up for the season. Danny Meyer's Public Fare has also revamped the menu for the summer, and will be serving up signature specialty hot dogs, house-made desserts, and also lighter salads.
The outdoor café at The Public's Delacorte Theater in Central Park is also offering a summertime white sangria, plus happy hour specials between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Fridays ($3 draft beers, $5 wines by the glass, 20 percent off food).
"This year we tried to cater not only to the morning crowd, but also to the theater crowd," a representative from Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group told us. "So there's a lot more breakfast and coffee items on there for the moms and dog walkers in the morning."
Check out the full menu in a PDF here. Public Fare will continue serving until Act II of Shakespeare in the Park, so grab some wine during intermission for the second act of Into the Woods (July 23 to August 25).
