Pizza Rock Summer Opening In Las Vegas

Tony Gemignani is opening a new restaurant, Pizza Rock, in downtown Las Vegas, according to Las Vegas Weekly. The 185-seat restaurant is scheduled to open later this summer. The menu will feature Italian and American style pizza along with pasta, calzone, Stromboli, antipasti, salads, and beer and wine.

Gemignani is a pizza professional, with 20 years in the business and numerous awards to his name. He is the only Triple Crown winner for baking at the International Pizza Championships in Italy. In 2007, he won the title of World Champion Pizza Maker at the World Pizza Cup in Naples. He was the first American and non-Neapolitan victor.

Pizza Rock will offer different styles of his specialty, varying from Neapolitan to Sicilian and Roman. The pasta will be made fresh as well as the link sausages. For dessert, the restaurant plans to serve house-made vanilla soft serve with unique toppings like olive oil and sea salt. 

The restaurant also plans to attract a late night crowd, staying open until midnight during the week and until 4:00 A.M. on weekends.
