Picnic Popup Will Join BonMe And The Blue Room On July 31
A few months ago, one of Boston's most popular food trucks, BonMe opened its brick and mortar location in Kendall Square. Just across the square is The Blue Room, an institution in the Cambridge food scene. And on July 31st, the old and the new Cambridge concepts will merge forces and present a picnic popup on the Rose Kennedy Greenway. From 6 to 9 pm, if you make your way to the Rings Fountain to enjoy a lovely evening outdoors in the center of the city and just overlooking the Seaport district, you'll be able to experience the best of both worlds.
This picnic pop up is not the first, as BonMe has been doing many of these impromptu events. In the past, West Bridge and East by Northeast have participated in this exciting collaboration, combining the ultimate convenience of a food truck with the delicious ideas served out of their respective kitchens.
This time around, the menu will include a 1970s-style chicken Galantine with slaw, a chilled cucumber soup shooter, the Bon Me Sandwich (their claim to fame!) jazzed up with The Blue Room's sweet and spicy Chinese sausage, and forbidden rice pudding.
Sound good? Sounds great!!!! Tickets are 25 dollars when bought in advance and 30 when bought the day of. Gluten free and vegetarian options are also available if requested in advance by emailing jenn@bonmetruck.com. You can Purchase tickets here.
