Philadelphia Street Feast
The Philly Night Market, a half-mile moveable feast of popular food truck vendors, is back Thursday, May 24 along Second Street from Fairmount Street to George Street in Northern Liberties.
The pay-as-you go food market has 45 vendors selling street food for $5 or less. While many local favorite food trucks, like Los Taquitos de Puebla, Gigi & Big R, and Nomad Pizza, will again be parked at Philly Night Market, 20 new night market vendors will debut their cuisines, including Smoke Truck's BBQ, Lil' Pop Shop's popsicles, and Zea May's Native American cuisine.
This is Philly's fifth night market, with two more Philly Night Markets hitting the streets on Washington Avenue June 28 and in Mt. Airy August 16.
Philadelphians hungry for street eats who also want a guaranteed seat and other perks can sign on to be friends of the night market for $50. The Friends of the Night Market is a fundraiser to support The Food Trust, the host of the market. Friends get benefits, including free food from more than a dozen vendors, free beer and cocktails, and seating.
