Pastrovich Design Unveils X R-Evolution Yacht Concept That Imitates A Floating Resort
Earlier this month Pastrovich Design announced their upcoming project, the X R-Evolution Concept, and this one is a doozy. Not just a single vessel, this yacht sections out into several different pods to create a floating resort of sorts. According to Motor Boat & Yachting, the company based the X R-Evolution design on "real-world technologies and that clients have already registered their interest" in making it a reality.
The main yacht is able to "deploy" smaller bungalow-type vessels across a bay, which allows guests, kids, and the owners their own private spaces to relax and unwind in. The hull is made from carbon fiber and can apparently be sized from 50 meters (164 feet) to 90 meters (295 feet), without needing a draft over 2.5 meters (8.2 feet)—meaning that the mother ship can be docked super close to shore.
Though you can float the pods separately, they can also stay tethered to one another to take advantage of wave power to generate sustainable energy for the main yacht. Pastrovich has also suggested that their future customizable tenders may even include floating swimming pools and gardens.
