Oscar Gift Bags Include 2 Ultra-Luxe Getaways

Awards show gift bags generally tend to include items like spa gift certificates, the newest eco-friendly lotions and potions, the latest trend in sweet treats (mini cupcakes, cake pops, boozy chocolates, and the like), and fun fashion items like hair accessories and bracelets. But this year's Academy Awards swag bags were filled to the brim with actually fantastic items valued at more than $60,000. So while the requisite "Naughty Bit Brownies" and gift certificate for a trip to a "skin behaviorist" in Los Angeles are in there, we're focusing more on two hyper-luxe getaways that Oscar attendees will be taking on the house this year.

The first is the Premier Tours Elephant Back Safari, which is a four-night/five-day trip for two to the Abu Camp in Botswana that would usually run $15,580. The trip is all-inclusive, which means all the fresh, homemade breakfasts, lunches served picnic-style while on game drives, sundowners by the campfire, and dinners on the terrace are included. The camp will also arrange an evening game drive that takes you out to a private table set up under the stars for a romantic dinner.

The second opulent getaway gifted to Oscar attendees is a two-night stay in an Ocean Casa at Imanta, a stunning resort in Punta de Mita, Mexico. A-listers will not only get two nights in a 2,500-square foot suite, but two 60-minute spa treatments, as well. The best part of being invited to the Imanta Resort? The food. Fresh, local ingredients are sourced every day. Take their Catch of the Day for example; it's a small collection of tables sitting in the sand just feet from the water, where they serve fish caught right in front of the hotel that morning alongside seasonal, fresh margaritas and local beers.

So, even the nominees who didn't walk away with an Oscar last night still kind of won...
