The One That I Want: Gisele Bündchen Has It All In New Chanel N°5 Campaign
Chanel wouldn't be okay with just a quick little campaign slot and some pretty pictures of Gisele Bündchen running around on a beach—oh no. The latest Chanel N°5 campaign that's been teased and buzzed about for weeks has finally been released today, and it's a three minute and 16 second mini-movie that stars Gisele in her natural element—surfer, model, mother and wife to a seriously well-dressed hunk. Titled The One That I Want, it portrays the N°5 woman as strong, confident and the kind of woman who truly has it all—including a beach house decorated in Chanel.
Directed and written by Baz Luhrmann of The Great Gatsby and Moulin Rouge fame, with production design by his Oscar-winning wife Catherine Martin, the film is Luhrmann's second collaboration with the French brand after shooting Nicole Kidman for the fragrance in 2004. In the video, the supermodel finds herself following her heart which leads her to a fulfilled life of love and happiness. "The Chanel woman can be with herself on a beach, can be with her child, can have an aspirational and fulfilling work life, and at the same time she can have a true relationship; she can have romance," says Luhrmann. "And in the end, the Chanel woman chooses love."
And we would too if our love interest were hunky Game of Thrones star Michiel Huisman. Playing Daario Naharis in the fourth season, and Gisele's hubby in the Chancel campaign, we can't help but notice how well he cleans up. Adding an element of romance to the film, Lo-Fang sings a bluesy, low-key version of You're the One That I Want, lending its name to the campaign title. And as a Chanel-clad Gisele chases down Huisman, it's pretty clear she knows what she wants.
