'How To Throw A Punk Rock Party' à La Martha Stewart
Martha Stewart may be the undisputed top banana of the lifestyle and well-coordinated home events industry, but she's pretty close to the bottom of list for people who can get you in the punk rock mood.
Or maybe, as the wanton privilege of the very powerful, she's well within her right to claim the punk rock territory, or at least, her magazine, Martha Stewart Living, is.
In a recent post on Stewart's website, a writer for Martha Stewart Living provides handy tips for how to "throw a birthday bash for a pint-sized punk rocker," which includes "invites inspired by concert tickets," "posters of punk idols" plus lots of plaid, and kid-friendly tattoos.
As for the snacks, or "nosh pit," MSL recommends spinach-ricotta skulls plus "spiced (and spiked) Concord Grape punch (sans vodka for the kids)."
We're not sure what to make of this new page in the Martha playbook, but then again, a theme is a theme, and no one knows how to commit to a theme like Martha.
