Hospitality Leaders To Speak At Welcome Conference In June
On June 17th, the Welcome Conference, a full day forum dedicated to hospitality, will be held at 41 Cooper Square in New York City.
Inspired by the ongoing tradition of food conferences around the world, the conference is the brainchild of Will Guidara, co-owner of Eleven Madison Park and The NoMad, and Anthony Rudolf, former director of operations at the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group.
Speakers will include Frank Bruni, journalist and former food critic of The New York Times; Charles Masson, formerly the general manager of La Grenouille; Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti, Nick Kokonas, co-founder and co-owner of Alinea, Next, and the Aviary; and several others.
Although the conference will host several giants in the hospitality and fine dining industry, the event is meant to attract people at any level of experience from both inside and outside the hospitality world.
"It is not about which restaurants are defined only by the food that you're eating, but how you feel when you're eating that food," said a representative for the Welcome Conference. "And there are a whole lot of people working really hard to convey that feeling — it does not happen by accident."
