Hello Kitty-Inspired Food Takes Over Los Angeles

Los Angeles' restaurant scene just got a whole lot cuter. In anticipation of the Hello Kitty convention coming to town on October 30, as well as an exhibit at the Japanese American museum centered on the cute cat-girl, a dozen restaurants around town will be participating in the Hello Kitty Hungry Hunt. Restaurants will be offering Hello Kitty-inspired fare, and a commemorative pin for all hungry participants.

As one might expect, there's a whole lot of pink going on at these Hello Kitty-loving restaurants and bakeries, including a cheeseburger at Plan Check made with pink cheese as well as a green tea latte with Hello Kitty's face peering out from the steamed milk, while Café Dulce will offer a limited-edition themed strawberry doughnut. Dylan's Candy Bar will be serving Hello Kitty ice cream sundaes, and Seoul's Sausage will be offering a spicy red sausage as a nod to Kitty's trademark red bow.

The promotion runs from this week through November 24. Check out participating locations here.
