Wingstop Teams Up With NBA Teams And Charities To Serve Communities

During their Flavor Tour this summer, Wingstop will team up with NBA teams and charities to participate in a number of community renewal projects. It's all happening from a food truck called Wingstop on Wheels — and the food is completely free.

According to a press release, Wingstop will offer free Original Hot and Lemon Pepper wings, carrot and celery sticks, and Coca-Cola with "Share a Coke with Wingstop" labels. Flynn Dekker, chief marketing officer of Wingstop, said in a statement that he hopes this tour will help underprivileged communities. "We are very excited to kick off the Wingstop Flavor Tour where our goal is to inspire communities and underprivileged children while leaving a trail of flavor in our wake," Dekker said.

On July 7, Wingstop on Wheels will be in Atlanta with Coca-Cola, Hands On Atlanta, and the Fountain of Hope food bank to feed those in need in front of the Fountain of Hope headquarters. The truck will also swing by Chicago, St. Louis, Dallas with the Dallas Mavericks, Denver, Las Vegas, Oakland with the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles with the Los Angeles Lakers, and a final city voted on by fans.

Wingstop on Wheels made their first stop in Brooklyn from June 19 to 23, where they partnered with the Brooklyn Nets to build a new playground at the Children of Promise NYC facility. The finished playground was revealed on Wingstop's Twitter page.

Wingstop will be documenting the tour on their social media sites using the hashtag #WingstopTour. You can vote on the fan-selected city on the restaurant's website.
